The events were Motocross and ATV (Quad). "I'm looking forward to the ATV because I look forward to riding in the mountains." — Dave Furchak, Team USA III. For the Quad competition, teams were paired up to compete in groups of four, meaning that each of the U.S. teams was paired with a European team. Individual teams then dropped the lower finish of the two events, being scored only on their best performance.
