Rick has been in the broadcasting business for more than 30 years. That probably means that he is able to talk his way out of any sticky situation that he may encounter on his other job of 21 years, a New York State Department of Corrections Officer. But on the track, it's his driving style that does the talking.
Rick is always in a hurry. That's probably due to growing up in a racing town like Watkins Glen, New York. The newest, hottest and fastest cars were always around, so it was only a matter of time until racing got into his blood. In fact, the historic racing town is so much a part of his life that he is currently writing a book about racing at Watkins Glen. Now that's mixing business with pleasure!
