Between 1985 and 1993, legendary French driver Alain Prost won four Formula One World Championships. Thirteen years later, the Prost name topped an international podium once again when Alain's son, Nicolas, won the Formula Three event held at Montmelo, Spain.

Nicolas used Birmingham-built Dunlop tires to carry him to his landmark first win in the next to last race of the Spanish F3 Championship. His win, coupled with teammate Miguel Molina’s victory in the final race of the year, secured the championship for the Racing Engineering team.

The 24-year-old driver’s first international win has put the Prost name back on the map. After the race, Nicolas celebrated with Alfonso de Orleans Bourbon, Racing Engineering team principal, and Jean Felix Bazelin, general manager, Dunlop Motorsport Europe.
